3D Printed Anatomical Models
The Erler-Zimmer 3D Printed Human Anatomy Series distributed by APE Medical, gives you a more cost effective alternative to traditional plastinates & cadavers, with high accuracy and German made precision quality.
Why 3D Printed Anatomical Models?
- Much lower cost compared to traditional plastinates
- Higher durabilty compared to traditional plastinates
- Precise copy of human anatomy, made from non-human material
Superior 3D print results compared with conventional methods
- Vibrant colour offering with 10 million colours
- UV-curable inkjet printing
- High quality 3D printing that can create products that are delicate, extremely precise and incredibly realistic clear support material
- To avoid breakage of fragile, thin, and delicate arteries, veins or vessels, a clear support material is printed on such spots. This makes the models robust and can be handled by students easily.
Designed by the experts at
Medical students have long used donated human cadavers to learn anatomy; however preserved cadavers are not always available and plastinated bodies can be very costly and difficult to obtain. Making use of a range of technologies, the Monash Centre for Human Anatomy Education has created 3D prints of the entire human body.
Erler-Zimmer holds a licence for additive printing of these accurate anatomical models. Parts are available within a short time period and can be produced in a range of sizes e.g. enlarged models for teachers.

FAQ
What is the 3D Anatomy Series?
The 3D Anatomy Series is a pioneering collection of colour-augmented human anatomy body replicas designed specifically for enhanced teaching and learning purposes. These replicas offer highly accurate representations of normal human anatomy, derived directly from radiographic data or actual cadaveric specimens using advanced imaging techniques.
How do they get these 3D anatomical models so close to the real specimen?
Each replica has been carefully created from selected radiographic patient data or high quality real human prosected cadaver specimens selected by a highly qualified team of anatomists at the centre for Human Anatomy Education at Monash University.
Have the replica’s been checked/had quality control?
Each replica has been rigorously checked by a team of highly qualified anatomists at the Centre for Human Anatomy Education at Monash University to ensure the anatomical accuracy of the final product.
Do the replicas contain any real human tissues?
No, the replica’s do not contain any human tissue and therefore not subject to any barriers of transportation, importation or use in educational facilities.
