To treat and prevent dehydration due to diarrhea and travelers gastroenteritis in children and adults.

Diarrhea may be due to a number of conditions and can result in the loss of fluids and salts from the body. This can be particularly dangerous in babies and small children as they can become dehydrated very quickly. Therefore, it is important to replace the lost fluid with a balanced mix of glucose and salts in water. Oral Rehydration Salts contain glucose and salts to aid in preventing dehydration. Orange flavored.

Active Ingredients

Each sachet contains: Sodium Chloride BP 0.47g, Sodium Acid Citrate BP 0.53g, Potassium Chloride BP 0.30g, Glucose BP 3.56g.

When made up with 200ml water the resulting solution contains: Glucose 90mmol/L, Sodium 60mmol/L, Potassium 20mmol/L, Chloride 60mmol/L, Citrate 10mmol/L, Total Osmolality 240mosmol

Also contains: Glucose, Potassium, Saccharin Sodium, Sodium Chloride and Sodium Acid Citrate. This preparation contains 276mg of sodium per sachet which should be taken into account by those on a low sodium diet.
