Features

The Ossur Rebound ACL Brace is an evolution in bracing, designed to comfortably apply an anatomically correct, dynamic load to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). As an element in either conservative or surgical management, the Rebound ACL brace complements clinical protocols and is conducive to an ideal biomechanical joint environment as a foundation for long-term successful patient outcomes. The innovative technology in the Rebound® Dynamic Tension System (DTS) offers individualised adjustment options to reduce strain on the healing ACL.

Key features

  • Dynamic technology for knee stability, with a Dynamic Tension System™ that applies an agonistic, dynamic force to the ACL that is flexion-angle dependent (LaPrade et al., 2017) and designed to reduce ACL deficiency (positive anterior-drawer test), promoting knee stability.
  • Specific load adaptation according to the patient’s individual anatomy and rehabilitation requirements.
  • Clinical and biomechanical studies indicate that the Rebound ACL brace reduces strain on the ACL during activity and significantly reduces strain on the meniscus in ACL-deficient knees (Tomescu et al., 2017).
  • Biocompatible, hi-tech materials, including Blue is You™ patient touchpoints and ActiveGrip™ liners, promote suspension and comfort.
  • Lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminium frame
  • Available in sizes S-XL
  • Flexion & extension range-of-motion lock-outs.
  • Posterior frame optimised for fit and support, with open anterior for ease of donning/doffing
  • Clinically-tested comfort, validated by wearers and with load mapping data collected during rehabilitation activities, the Rebound® Dynamic Tension System (DTS) provides a comfortable load to the posterior thigh and anterior tibia.

Indications

Conditions benefiting from an agonistic force that varies throughout flexion in proportion to ACL tension applied to the thigh and calf in the sagittal plane

These may include: – Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury – Reconstruction – Non-surgical treatment
