The Days 233EL Adjustable Height Walking Frame is manufactured from anodised aluminium tubing and fitted with ‘comfy’ foam handgrips and non-slip rubber tips with height adjustable legs.

Opening and Closing

To open the walking frame pull the two side frames outwards firmly until the button on the centre bar clicks into place. This locks the frame into open position.

To close the walking frame push the plastic button depressor and fold the side frames together.

Height Adjustment

When the frame height is correct the user should be able to maintain an upright posture with the elbow slightly flexed. In this way body weight is taken through the frame by pushing down on the frame when walking.

To adjust the frame height, press the buttons in. Push the leg in and turn slightly. Adjust the leg to the required position, then tum and relocate, ensuring buttons are protruding through the holes.

Repeat the height adjustment procedure for all frame legs ensuring they are at the same height.

Walking

Place the frame on the ground one step ahead. Step forward into the frame maintaining your balance. Make sure you do not walk too far into the frame area. When steady, lift the frame one step forward and repeat the process.

Maintenance and cleaning

Days walking frames are designed for minimum maintenance Manufactured from anodised aluminium tubing they require the occasional wipe-over with a soft cloth.

Do not use harsh abrasive materials. If disinfection is required, clean as above and wipe over with a solution
of 1,000 parts per million available chlorine disinfectant (haz tabs/precept), rinse and dry. Decontamination processes that involve immersion are not recommended.

Do not store in sub-zero temperature. Do not exceed the maximum user weight. Periodically check for bent frame members, elongated or stressed adjustment holes, wom or loose ferrules. Do not use any frame showing signs of damage.

Remove or avoid obstacles such as loose rugs. Beware of wet floors. outdoor hazards such as wet leaves and ice. Wear flat supportive shoes.
