What is the best knee brace for medial knee osteoarthritis or lateral knee osteoarthritis?
Our SecuTec OA is specially designed to treat medial or lateral knee osteoarthritis. The frame is made of lightweight aluminium to provide support lateral support and the anatomically contoured gel cushions lie gentle on the knee. The hinge limitation immobilises the lateral movement in the knee for faster recovery.
What is the difference between the Genutrain OA and the SecuTec OA?
The GenuTrain OA fits comfortably under clothes, and is made from a lightweight fabric and construction to target a particular side of the knee to unload and relieve pain from OA, meniscus issues and more. The SecuTec OA is a fully rigid brace that is for advanced OA, Varus/Valgus issues and other problems.
HOW TO ACHIEVE THE PERFECT FIT
1. Measure the circumference of your leg 17 cm above the centre of your knee (A) with your knee bent at 30 degrees.
2. Measure the circumference of your leg 15 cm below the centre of your knee (B) with your knee bent at 30 degrees.
3. SecuTec OA should feel snug and firm but not constrictive. All Bauerfeind knee braces have a 1 year warranty and qualify for our 30 day size exchange policy.
