VivaDiagTM SARS-CoV-2 Ag Rapid Point of Care Rapid Antigen Test is for the rapid, qualitative detection of the nucleocapsid protein antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in human nasal swab and throat swab specimens.

The test is intended for use by healthcare providers or personnel trained in rapid test procedure who have a valid AHPRA number as a point of care test. Companies and institutions who are wanting use the VivaDiagTM SARS-CoV-2 Ag Rapid Test are required to have a registered health practitioner administer the test by strict protocols.

Companies and institutions who are wanting use the VIVA COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kit are required to have a registered health practitioner administer, or over-see, the test by strict protocols.

The following professions listed by the TGA are the only ones allowed to purchase and conduct the Point of Care RATs;

  2. dental (not including the professions of dental therapist, dental hygienist, dental prosthetist or oral health therapist)
  3. medical
  4. medical radiation practice
  5. nursing
  6. midwifery
  7. occupational therapy
  8. optometry
  9. pharmacy
  10. physiotherapy
  11. podiatry
  12. psychology
